Just Add Ink #60 – Clean and Simple

23 Mar

Here we are again at the JAI Challenge!

I love these colours!!! My idea was for a card with very simple, clean lines.

Stamped image is mounted

on dimensionals.

Supplies used:

Cardstock: Whisper White, Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry

Inkpads: Crumb Cake (stamp background), Rich Razzleberry

Stamps: Oh So Lovely, So Happy for You

Stampin’ Up Marker: Old Olive

The card is 6×3 when folded. This is certainly a great colour combo and I urge you to give it a try. Very elegant colours when combined.

Thanks so much for visiting!

Cheers!

Just Add……Danielle

Part 2 of the Just Add Ink challenge, and this one is for Danielle, Queen of Ribbons and Bows and Stamp-A-Ma-Jigs!!

Here is Danielle’s Just Add Ink #31 that was the inspiration for my card:

And here is my take on it:

This is a friendly union of browns –  Soft Suede meets Chocolate Chip meets Early Espresso. And a little Regal Rose for the blossom. The background card is Very Vanilla.

And yes, I did use my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to get the border just right.

And yes, I did use my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to stamp the Note of Thanks ……… and totally fluffed it ……..and had to resort to a punched greeting to cover the damage!

But I think it all ended well!

Danielle, thanks for your efforts and inspiration!

Cheers!

Just Add…..Amanda

6 Mar

Hi there! I’m playing along in the Just Add Ink challenge for this week.

This post is a Part 1 of 2 and it’s my post for Amanda Reddicliffe, photographer extraordinaire.

Wind the clock back to Just Add Ink 27 and you’ll find Amanda’s gorgeous card:

I felt it was appropriate to go with a photographic theme for my case of Amanda’s card. I chose a photo of a Banksia flowering in our garden back in 2006:

This is Always Artichoke cardstock for the background, a strip of Greenhouse Gala DSP and the photo is mounted on More Mustard and Basic Black. The sentiment is from the Thank You Kindly stamp set. I love how the motif on the dsp compliments the Banksia.

Amanda, thanks for all your effort and inspiration.

Cheers!

Just Add Ink – Inspiration Challenge 53

31 Jan

Card inspiration challenges always get the grey matter going, and this was a fun combination of colours to use.

Here are the details of supplies used:

Cardstock: Basic Black, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Whisper White

DSP: Peach Parfait paper stack

Stamps: Punch Potpourri (Hostess Set), So Happy for You (Sale-A-Bration 2011)

Punch: Boho Blossoms

Big Shot: Little Leaves Sizzlit Die

Embellishments: SU Rhinestones

I loved the yellow of the sunflower in the inspirational JAI picture, and the use of black on my card was inspired by the centre of the sunflower.

My absence of sunflower stamps sent me to the good old faithful Boho Blossoms. The black panel is set up on Stampin’ Dimensionals; the flowers were curled to add a 3d look and the larger rhinestones were coloured with a black Tombow marker.

This shows the inside of the card.

And a little close-up.

I hope you enjoyed looking at my first blog entry. May you find inspiration in all the glorious colours surrounding you today – we can always take a cue from nature!

Cheers!
